Mouflon hunting is a patient, methodical process built around glassing and reading open country. Rams are often found moving across high ground and exposed slopes, and much of the hunt is spent studying animals from distance before committing to a stalk.
Once a suitable ram is identified, the approach is slow and deliberate, using folds in the terrain, wind, and timing to close the distance without being seen. Mouflon hunts reward careful planning and discipline, with success coming from precision rather than speed or reaction.

Typical shooting distance?
Typical shooting distances range from roughly 100 to 400 yards. We take the time to ensure hunters are set up comfortably, shooting from a solid position and using equipment they trust, so every shot can be taken cleanly and confidently.
Can I bow hunt it?
Yes, absolutely. The finca is setup for bowhunting for either spot and stalk or in blinds over waterpoints. All of our guides are active bowhunters and know what’s required to close the distance on these animals.
What rifle/calibre do you recommend?
We recommend calibres from 6.5mm and up. If you plan to bring your own rifle, we’ll discuss the species beforehand and make sure your setup is appropriate. We also have mountain rifles available, all chambered in 7mm PRC.
What level of fitness do I require?
The hunt can be adapted to what suits you best as the Finca has lower and flatter areas as well as steep cliffs and deep dense valleys. A low-medium fitness level is required for this hunt.
