Wild boar run free across the finca’s 5,000 hectares of Sierra de Andújar mountain and dehesa, and we hunt them the way the ground asks for. Most days are spent spot-and-stalk — covering varied country on foot, glassing the oak slopes and valley floors, then using wind and terrain to work in close. Where boar are moving to feed and water, we also wait in blinds over water points and feeders, which makes this one of the most rewarding hunts on the finca for a bowhunter.
Boar are wary, largely nocturnal and quick to use the wind, so success comes from patience and reading sign rather than covering miles. It is a hunt that suits a first stalk in Spain and an experienced hunter alike, and because boar are on the finca year-round it adds naturally to almost any other hunt here — a stag, a mouflon or a fallow buck taken over the same few days.

Questions, answered
Typical shooting distance?
Shots on boar tend to be closer than our mountain hunts — often inside 250 yards, and sometimes much closer from a blind. We take the time to set you up comfortably, shooting from a solid position with equipment you trust, so every shot can be taken cleanly and confidently.
Can I bow hunt it?
Yes, absolutely. The finca is set up for bowhunting, either spot-and-stalk or in blinds over water points. All of our guides are active bowhunters and know what’s required to close the distance on these animals.
What rifle/calibre do you recommend?
We recommend calibres from 6.5mm and up. If you plan to bring your own rifle, we’ll discuss the species beforehand and make sure your setup is appropriate. We also have mountain rifles available, all chambered in 7mm PRC.
What level of fitness do I require?
The hunt can be adapted to what suits you best, as the finca has lower and flatter areas as well as steep cliffs and deep dense valleys. A low-medium fitness level is required for this hunt.
